Slow Down

On Wednesday night Linda and I were talking about how busy we are each day and just how overwhelming life can be. As I was sitting at my computer at 12:30 am editing pictures Oprah came on and the topic was about the exact thing we had discussed only a few hours earlier. The very tragic story was about a woman who was supposed to drop her child off at daycare that morning (which was out of routine for her) and ended up forgetting. Her 2 year old daughter was asleep in the vehicle when she arrived at work and did not notice her when she got out to go in to work. She found her at 4:00 that afternoon...gone due to heat stroke. What a sad story...

Oh my goodness.  That is one of the saddest things I have ever heard.

Re: Slow Down

Yes... life is busy. With working full time, and having a very busy work schedule with a lot of responsibility, I'm pretty possessive about the time that I have with my family during evenings and weekends... and I don't stay up nearly as late as I used to.

Re: Slow Down

I had heard a similar story a while ago.  It definitely makes you think about what's going and makes you more conscious of being "in the moment".
