I picked up this book from the library because Billie Letts is the author of "Where the Heart is" (you might have seen the movie). I really liked that book.
I'm about halfway through this book, and it's a real page turner. It's about a teenage girl and her younger brother, whose guardian suddenly dies. Their dad took off on them a few years earlier, but they decide to try and find him in Las Vegas, rather than going into a foster home. The story is gripping....sad, funny, and touching. I can't wait to find out how it ends!
